Wildlife Victoria Grants

It has been a difficult summer for wildlife carers and shelters. While the focus to date has been on assisting wildlife carers directly affected by bushfires and extreme heat events, Wildlife Victoria is aware there are many others who are caring for sick, injured and orphaned wildlife.

Wildlife Victoria has now released the 2020 round of grants, which are designed to assist Victorian wildlife care volunteers with the costs of their volunteer activities, to increase the capacity to care for wildlife, and to improve the capacity to respond to emergencies.

There were 2 types of grants on offer with 1 still open for applications:

  • The Wildlife Victoria Carer Grant is now closed for 2020. Watch this page for the 2021 grants release!
  • The Wildlife Victoria Infrastructure Grant is for larger projects which match the listed criteria and can only be applied for by DELWP Authorised Shelters. Please note that Shelters will need to apply on behalf of their Foster Carers for the Infrastructure Grant and can be included as a separate part of the Shelter’s project.

The complete information about the grant and the application form can be found here:
