Although fires are still going, it is time to recognise the excellent, dedicated (and tired) volunteers who are still out there rescuing and rehabilitating wildlife across the state. From the Rescuers and Transporters, the Shelter Operators and Foster Carers, the Emergency Phone Operators to the the vet staff and tree climbers, office staff and supplies coordinators...

and all the rest of the extraordinary individuals and teams out there on the ground making a difference.

And none of this (or very little) would be possible without the huge and generous support from the public who opened their hearts to the plight of our wildlife and have given us the means to get in there and do the job.

At Wildlife Victoria we don't know what else to say but give our sincere thanks... and also to let you know we will certainly be in contact later to give you some updates on some of the animals that have been saved by this combined effort.
